Sit down, grab a cuppa joe or tea and relax. This place is about taking it easy and enjoying life's abundance. The word "parlor" comes from the Old French parleor, literally meaning "to speak," so this is a place for conversation, perhaps. The word also has a modern hair-related connotation that also fits.
For years, some people have assumed that I had a web site, and while many with long hair have web sites, I did not create mine until this year due to a few factors, mainly living a very busy life (more on that to come), but also because my hair is not the sum or definition of who I am. How could it be, when the initial reason that I grew it long began with a lighthearted game? Also, my finances 20 years ago crimped my ability to continue supporting nonessential activities like going to beauty salons, so I decided to aim for what I had always wanted and loved as a young child, to grow fairy-tale like long hair.
Still, this place will not be about just long hair. It's also about life, family, friends and the world, however these subjects unfold to me. See, my web site, like a good character in a novel, will take on a life of its own, so even I will have to see how it develops. I must pay attention to its wishes.
For starters, I have put together photo albums of my husband's and my trip to Ireland, England and Scotland in June and July 2006, which trip was our belated honeymoon. It was everything that we dreamed it could be and even better.
I also am developing hair-related albums and pages that will follow in their own time. Enjoy!
